there is still no one out there to touch depeche mode for there music and lyrics, this album only builds on there incredible music catalogue , amazing from track one a must for any real music fan
This album is a hash of their previous songs. It is so bad I got a headache from listening to it. It's rubbish and beneath them. Dont buy. Hardcore fans might like it but otherwise avoid at all costs
I've always quite liked the fact that Depeche Mode have embraced remixes as there have been some fantastic ones over the years.
But there have also been some utterly horrific and indeed pointless ones too and it would seem that quite a few have managed to find their way onto this latest release.
There are some great ones here including the Stargate mix of Personal Jesus, the Simenon/Saunders mix of Strangelove and even the more 'played around with' mix of A Pain That I'm Used To by Jacques Lu Cont but on the whole it's just a mess.
Some of the remixes are less common and I'm sure there are plenty of fans who'll have never have heard some of them but that doesn't make this an 'essential purchase' regardless of how big a DM fan you are.
Stick with the three disc version of Remixes 81>04, it blows these remixes out of the water.
