Product Description

With new commentary and Insights on the life and times of Jesse Livermore

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator is the fictionalized biography of perhaps the most famous financial speculator of all time–Jesse Livermore. This annotated edition bridges the gap between Edwin Lefevre′s fictionalized account of Livermore′s life and the actual, historical events, places, and people that populate the book. It also describes the variety of trading approaches Livermore used throughout his life and analyzes his psychological development as a trader and the lessons gained through hard experiences.

  • Analyzes legendary trader Jesse Livermore′s strategies and explains how they can be used in today′s markets
  • Provides factual details regarding the actual companies Livermore traded in and the people who helped/hindered him along the way
  • Explains the structure and mechanics of the Livermore–era markets, including the bucket shops and the commodity exchanges
  • Includes more than 100 pages of new material

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator has endured over 70 years because traders and investors continue to find lessons from Livermore′s experiences that they can apply to their own trading. This annotated edition will continue the trend.

Lots of hidden gems 4 Jan 2011
Format:Hardcover
I have read an earlier copy and listened to the audiobook, so why did I buy this? This single book has had one of the biggest influences on my successful private investing career so far. Apart from The Intelligent Investor there has been no bigger influence. If you have never read this book before, then do yourself a favour and buy it. If you read this and don't agree then read it again as you have missed its message. I find the longer people have been investing and trading the more they appreciate this fantastic book.

those of you who are into strict fundamental analysis will despise this book about trading, as jesse livermore breaks all of your rules. anyone who is involved in trading/wants to learn more about trading - then this is a great place to start.

i dont want to ruin the book, but it covers the biography of jesse from his early start in trading onwards. the reason why i like this book because the advice he gives is valuable in all walks of life - don't punish yourself from your losses, stay calm, make decisions from your own thinking - not from others input etc.

a very good read...

This book is illustrated beautifully and the true story really takes you back to another era. What is really incredible is that very little has changed in terms of market behaviour. This is a good read for anyone who wants to learn some of the psychology to trading. You will assimilate this over the course of the book. It's a very pleasant read and inspires you to be a better trader.
