Product Description

Your Remington beard trimmer requires very little maintenance throughout its life--simply keep it clean, charged and replace combs as necessary. Men with thicker hair or more frequent users may need to change components more often.

Keep it clean

Keeping the trimmer clean and free of hairs will improve the quality of the trim. Many Remington trimmers come with cleaning brushes to brush off any build-up.

Charge it up

By following the charging instructions in the product information leaflet, you are sure to maintain the trimmer's performance. Be sure to always completely dry both the trimmer and your hands before putting it on the charger.

Box Contains

  • 1 x Beard trimmer
  • 1 x Cleaning brush

Mixed reactions to this trimmer - it's a good lightweight unit and did a fair job of cutting my beard over the years but never seemed particularly powerful and sometimes caught a bit on thicker beard hair, to the point of leaving me with a slightly uncomfortable trim. The flip-up small trimmer tended to be awkward to keep in position for use without it folding down again. Battery life was more than acceptable for use every few days and charging about once a month, and the length adjustment worked well.

It's also TOUGH. I inadvertently tested this by driving a Land Rover over it towards the end of my period of using it - which I suspect was the cause of its eventual demise, though it carried on working fine for another year or so, with just the lens over the charging light falling out. Eventually the charging stopped working, but I think this was a result of the Land Rover incident and as a result don't blame the trimmer.

After it failed to charge I started trimming my beard with my Wahl Super Taper hair clippers, planning to get a replacement beard trimmer at some point, but they worked so well and gave so much more comfortable a trim than my old trimmer that I've kept using them.

In conclusion: not the most comfortable trim, but TOUGH AS NAILS.

I was looking for a replacement beard trimmer that had a short trim length of around 1.5mm, a decent price, and backed up by good reviews; the Remington MB320C caught my eye and seemed to satisfy these requirements. I found the two supporting reviews on Amazon informative and was the deciding factor on the purchase, compared to other reviews I'd seen on alternative makes/models.
Amazon.co.uk offered a decent price, provided the expected excellent delivery service and sound packaging, so well done Amazon.
First impressions of the beard trimmer were a solid, well built, tactile, comfortable and well balanced in the hand; a very well designed product.
The Trimmer Comb Attachment is adjusted by the well placed thumb wheel; it has a good positive engagement when setting. The Trimmer Comb moves up and down to achieve the desired length and completely covers the razor, it's easily removed by pulling off, but again this has a positive action and firm positioning.
Your first job will be to charge up the trimmer for 14-16 hours. The three plug/transformer combo provides the means to re-charge, with a lamp on the trimmer to indicate charging is taking place, however when fully charged the lamp remains lit, so there's no means to indicate full charge - just watch the clock.
The Trimmer Comb is well designed and provides a fairly wide platform that sits against your skin to allow for an exceptional even well controlled shave/trim; it's also easy to clean.
There are 9 shave settings/lengths available, set by the thumb wheel and next to that is a number indicator 1 to 9. The settings are as follows 1=1.5mm, 2=2.5mm, 3=4mm, 4=5.5mm, 5=7mm, 6=9mm, 7=11mm, 8=14mm, 9=18mm.

I tried a different trimmer but found it wasn't able to shape my beard. That's when I bought the Remington. After a couple of go's I've found it's much more effective. I don't have any comments on battery life etc.. yet, but fundamentally it keeps your beard at a particular length and does allow me to trim in detail using the bare shaver head or the secondary (small) trimmer. Overall I think it's a good product but it would be improved by allowing more lengths of stubble - really I want a length which is pretty much inbetween 2 and 3.

I don't have a beard but I hate being clean shaven, instead preferring the look of about 3 days' growth, which for me equates to around 2mm of stubble.

After doing a bit of research I decided on the Remington Professional MB320C and after 3 weeks of regular use I'm very impressed.
The comb guard that covers the blade is cleverly designed so that there's no chance of accidentally taking off too much length. After reading reviews of other similar products and seeing people complaining about poor guard design requiring very careful angling and positioning of the trimmer, I was very pleased to find that with the Remington you can just casually hack away with no danger whatsoever of taking too much off and ending up with a patchy beard/patchy stubble.

The battery seems to last for a while as I've used it roughly once every other day and it hasn't needed another charge yet.
It's also got a decent precision trimmer on the reverse, so you can trim sideburns etc.

This is a great product and is perfect whether you just want stubble or you've got a proper beard to maintain. It's also good value for money too given the price tag.

    **Update 18/05/2013**
Still going strong! On average I've used it twice per week, every week, and the blades are still sharp and cut well. The battery life has declined and a full charge is now enough for about an hour of constant usage, but this has only happened over the last couple of years and I doubt it'd present much of an issue unless you were using it every day.
