With only these two you can achieve hugely diverse cutting lengths from grade 1 all the way up to 14, measuring from 1 to 42 millimetres (mm). This is about the 10th pair of hair clippers I have owned and 9 of which would not cut through my thick mop! As soon as these were charged they cut straight through without any issues and the whole cut took me about 10 minutes. And that was from long hair to grade 2. The only issue I have with them is a small 1 and is that the hair builds up under the combe attachment (which sets the grade level). Lovely bit of kit overall though as I really have a problem getting the clippers to cut through my think hair. Would recommend in a heart beat.

Nice hair clipper except the comb attachments are too weak and if any pressure is applied the combs the teeth move apart and you end up cutting your hair shorter in streaks than you planned on. I ended up with the intended length (6mm) and shorter bits where the teeth moved allowing the blades to get closer to my head. I had to shave my head all over again without the attachments which must have left my hair approximately 0.5mm or even .05mm, i looked bald.
You get two combs where you can adjust the length of cut and the one used for longer hair does feel a bit sturdier.
I am now using attachment combs from an old set that i squeeze on,luckily they are tight enough to stay on, and they are more sturdier and it seems to work.
Apart from all above it does cut well and is a nice shaver with sharp ( but smooth feeling) blades and i am glad i bought it.
WARNING!!! Do not apply pressure when cutting crew cut style, just let it slide around your head and things should be okay.

As I have only very recently bought this item I can say nothing about it's longevity, what I can so though, is that having used these clippers I am very impressed with the quality. The cut was clean and easy. The clippers have a solid but not heavy feel in the hand and are easy to manipulate. The only thing I would have liked is taper combs for around the ears.
