my Dad has always recomended remington shavers and after buying this one i can see why
the shaver it'self looks that part and very easy to use. it's comfortable to hold in your hand and give a smooth shave without ripping your face off.
this shaver has a nice power button and a great power countdown timer ( 60 minutes) so you know how long you have left till it needs recharging( although when the timer was on 0 it was still running as fast as it was on 60)
so what you get for your money is a damn good shaver for a small price

Rather than charge a mint for the shaver, then skin you every month for 'consumables', Remington have come up with a very fairly priced (on Amazon at least) shaver that gives a good close shave and doesn't make a song and dance about it.
The Amazon Vine program sees my face as some sort of crash test dummy and keeps asking me to review shavers, so I have tested a lot of shavers in the past 18 months.
I am always very cautious about recommending them as what works on one chin might be a disaster on others.
But this does seem to be a good shaver. Smooth to use, holds charge well and doesn't have ideas above its station. It is a bit chunky, but I am never going to carry it around in my pocket and miniaturisation it hardly a high priority.
Shave, rinse, move on.
This isn't the best shaver I have ever used, but it is an extremely competent one and has a sensible price tag.
Four stars.
First things first - charge it up! The spec is as follows: 60min cordless shave time based upon a 2 hour full charge with a 5 min quick charge ability. I am forever being let down by items that promise to be rechargeable but quickly fail to cope with more than a few minutes before power is drained. I decided to follow the manual to the letter and give it a full 24 hour initial charge BEFORE so much as a press of the power button. The digital display consists of a bright, clear, battery level indicator. It tells you how long you have left before the 60min cordless shave time is depleted. My display was flashing 60 mins immediately suggesting that the factory ready item was just that - ready. I still persevered with the 24 hour initial charge just to be safe.
Now for the shave:
The design of the head allows the shaver to gently glide around the contours of the face. At first I was concerned that it was not cutting well. The manual states that the shaver should be used daily for several weeks to allow it to get `used to your face'. I think this is true. Within a few minutes my initial concern was removed. It produced such a close shave that, a drag queen would probably be thrilled.
A flip of the thumb and the pull-up cutter can be used on sideburns or longer hair, pre-shave. This worked well, allowing me to create a perfectly straight side-burn.
Having used the shaver for about 7 mins, the digital display showed 53 mins remaining. I'm no maths genius but I think this concludes that this feature works.
Placing the shaver back in it's rechargeable cradle, I almost want to keep it on the mantlepiece. It looks good and performs well. As long as it's charge ability does not lessen too rapidly, and the blades stay sharp for a decent length of time - I consider this a very decent product.
