The Remington EP6020 2-in-1 Corded Epilator effectively removes unwanted hair, leaving you with smooth and silky results. It combines stylish design and innovative technologies to help you achieve irresistibly touchable skin that lasts up to four weeks. And when the hair does grow back, it'll be softer, thinner and less noticeable than before. 
If you are using an epilator for the first time, initially try it out on a small and less sensitive area (such as the lower leg) so you can get used to the process and sensation of epilating. While the EP6020 can remove hairs that are just 0.5 mm long, epilation is made easier and more comfortable when the hairs are at their optimum length of 2 to 5 mm in length. Similarly, soaking in a warm bath and exfoliating dead skin prior to epilating can also be of benefit. It makes the skin more pliant resulting in a smoother process. Try to epilate in the evening so that any redness can disappear overnight, leaving you free to show off your super smooth skin the following day. Use a body cream or soothing lotion after epilating to reduce any skin irritation that may occur. Regularly exfoliate using the accompanying exfoliating glove or scrub to avoid in-growing hairs developing.

The EP6020 epilator has a slim, rounded epilation head and curved tweezer barrel both specially designed to help it gently glide over all the contours and curves of your body. Patented Skin Glide technology removes even short stubble
It features 42 rotating tweezers that can catch hairs as short as 0.5 millimetre (mm) in length so you don't have to have grow unsightly long stubble prior to using it. These tweezers efficiently remove hairs from the root helped in the process by Remington's innovative Skin Glide system. This technology very gently stretches the skin, opening the pores so that the hair follicle is more prominent and therefore can be removed from the root quickly and comfortably.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the cordless one from the same maker, as I'm on a tight budget. It is my first epilator (previously a waxer) and so far I'm very happy.
The cord is not a problem for me, in fact I like that I can just plug it in and go, without worrying if it's charged adequately or not.
It was utterly terrifying when I first switched it on, whirring and clacking at pretty high (not to mention noisy) speeds. It took a few minutes to work up the courage to put it on my leg. However, once I did it was fine.
I didn't have a hot bath first, but I had exfoliated well the day before, and my leg hairs were the perfect length (I can't believe this works on such short hairs-better than waxing).
I did both my lower legs (on the lower speed for this), yes it hurt a bit - no more than waxing, just in a different way. If you wax, don't expect the same sensation. Pulling the skin taut as recommended certainly helps reduce the discomfort and aids more effective removal too. It really does pull the hairs out well with very little breakage. I could actually see the hairs as they were pulled out, be warned, wherever you do this will be covered in hairs after. It doesn't remove every single hair (just like waxing) but with regular use it will.
However for me the beauty of any hair removal which pulls the hair out is that the hairs grow back finer as they don't have the blunt edge from being cut off, and the hairs do not all grow back at the same rate, so regular use means less pain.
Finally I got brave enough to try my bikini line. I didn't do as much as I would like, given the hairs here were much longer it was a bit more uncomfortable. However, it works. The higher setting is recommended for coarser hair, and is better and more comfortable than the slow one. I will be using it for my bikini area again, as well as my legs.
As I've only just received it, I will update this review if anything changes significantly, but I'm pretty happy with my first epilator and would recommend it!

I bought this to replace my previous epilator which I only replaced because it had stopped working. I didn't realise what I was missing out on by buying a newer epilator. Much less painful than the last and more effective. It also seems to dry out my skin less than the previous one.
The only thing I am sceptical about is the curved head, which is fine for legs but prevents easy epilation of the underarms. The shaver attachment, although I wasn't looking for, is actually very useful.
Whatever reviews say, the results do not last 4 weeks as some hairs are cut short whilst some are removed, as a result hair grows at different rates. However I still think epilation is the best method of hair removal as it works on short hairs, takes longer to grow back and the appearance of growth is significantly reduced.
Overall, this is a great product and well priced. I would recommend it.

My first experience of an epilator. Pain was thoroughly manageable, and I got used to the noise after a couple of minutes of terrified glaring. The curved head designed to maximize surface touching is comfortable enough.
But efficient? Not especially. Even going over a small area for nearly ten minutes, I still didn't get the silky smooth finish promised. It could well be that I have strange leg hair, or my calves are just the wrong shape for the head, but I found the epilator head only good for dealing with the majority of hair - finishing off with the shaving head was, for me, a must.
However!
According to my more experienced companions, this is a good epilator to start with: it gets the skin used to the plucking feeling without too much discomfort.
I don't regret buying this product, which is obviously the most important thing. It's remarkably good, considering the price. Just don't expect miracles!
