5.0 out of 5 stars heartbreaker 23 Jun 2003
By "tjath"
the story follows the journey of Serena, an Italian Princess, who suffers through her childhood to fall in love with an American Soldier. More pain to follow as she makes her way through life and has battles galore to face in the form of her husbands nasty mother. This book has more twists and turns than any other and had me really sobbing on more than one occasion.
A must read for any Danielle Steel fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 17 Feb 2007
By Mrs. A. M. Chadwick VINE VOICE
Great story from Danielle Steel. This is one of the first novels I'd read of hers a few years back.

I've read this book more then once,( come to think of it I've read all her books more then once as I think she's a great author), the story was also released on video and DVD.

An easy read, it's a compulsive story, so be warned. It's like all her book, once you start reading it you can't put it down.

A lovely and emotional novel by the great Danielle Steel.

A must for all fans and for people who have never read any of her books. Keep up the great work Danielle Steel. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars quack quack 28 Aug 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I love Danielle Steel books. I got sixteen books of hers. Many years ago I had these books by then they were hardbacks but sadly by lending the books to somebody, never returned or had been moved to place where I cannot take all my books. But thanks to Amazon after I went through the list I manage to get my favourite books. I can't say which was my favourite (remember I got 16 books all of them are excellent) but this book is good and I could not put it down. Like I said all Danielle Steel's books are excellent. Also well done to Amazon for listings of her books.

i thought this book was brilliant. I have read many of Danielle Steel's books and this was my favourite. It was really gripping and i really felt for Vanessa, the child who is in it.
