Pretty good 20 April 2001

Format:Paperback
This story was not one of JM's best but even a miss for JM still makes for good reading compared to the rubbish other writers churn out. The romance was lovely. Cole and Diana were perfect for each other. It was nice to see how they changed because of their love for the other person. This book did not feature the classic JM misunderstanding but that is what made it special for me. It was good to see that even though the hero and heroine had a whirlwind romance, there was trust between them to make us believe that their relationship was going to last. This book is worth a look at because it is a splendid and heart warming romance.

I have just finished this book in record time because I had to speed read my way through 3/4 of it to avoid the mind boring irrevelant detail she goes into in every chapter. How disappointing to get this from an author I like very much. She had great characters to work with but there wasn't enough interaction between them in the book to make it enjoyable. It isn't a book I would ever be tempted to read again unlike some of her others.

Although a fan of her Regencies, I was bowled over by this contemporary romance. McNaught spins the classic poor-boy-meets-rich-girl tale with her own magic touch. Cole Harrison is another McNaught hero to die for as he starts as a ranch hand, making his way to the top as a ruthless tycoon.
