By turns silly, sad, gleeful, and serious, the Kimya Dawsonwe meet on REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU is the same delightful oddball fans have grown to love. At the same time, there is something a bit more sophisticated at play here. The former Moldy Peach remains folk rock's class clown, but the arrangements of these songs are a little more complex, and Dawson seems more self-aware, more in control of her allusions and haphazard rhymes. A couple of songs continue the more political tone begun on HIDDEN VAGENDA, and "My Rollercoaster" is as fun a song as Dawson has ever recorded.

I bought this item on the strength of a couple of favourable reviews and a fondness for the Moldy Peaches, but nothing prepared for me for how much I would love it. An album I can just put on 'repeat' and listen to over and over... Like all the gentlest and most heartfelt moments of the Moldy Peaches concentrated in one sustained burst of quality accoustic songs. The tunes are lovely, and the lyrics are the sort you take to your heart, covering things from the fear of death for our loved ones, to dealing with low self-esteem, to a stinging criticism of America's response to the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. Anyone with a love of quality songwriting should find something to love in this album.

I'm one of those people that first heard of Kimya Dawson through the Juno soundtrack, probably one of those who Dawson's hardcore fans probably hate. Anyhow, it is a remarkable little album with a range of emotions portrayed in each song. One song it'll have you dancing around the room the next it'll have you crying. It is original, quirky and inspiring. A particular stand out song on the album is 'Loose Lips' which reflects Dawson's thoughts on the US-Iraq war.

I got this after buying the Juno soundtrack CD, and loved the Kimya Dawson and Moldy Peaches tracks. The songs are great, and the CD's been playing on a non-stop loop in my car for weeks. Love it!
