Amazing Debut from Reading Metallers!,
By
This review is from: Remember The Day (Audio CD)
After listening to Exit Ten for some time now and having seen them 3 times on the live stage, I have become a moderate fan! Their EP "This World Will Drown" was amazing but I believe it never really showed the bands true potential, until now!
"Remember The Day" is quite simply a metalmelodicore masterpiece! The guitaring is a mix of ripping metalcore style alternate picking riffs coupled with headbanging chords which just add to the bands unique style! The drumming is also amazing, complementing the intense bass playing and guitaring. However, out of all of this, Ryan Redman's voice really ties the knot in Exit Ten's unique style! Breaking away from the trend of most metalcore and new bands popping up, he actually sings instead of the (often irritating) screaming that the genre can produce. Its like a breath of fresh air. If you love heavy guitaring, technical bass, hard drumming and soaring vocals, then this album is definatly for you!! Watch out for this band in the future! For people who like: Muse, Tool, Deftones, Red, Killswitch Engage

I've seen exit ten about 7 times so far every time i've seen them I've been wishing that the set was longer. on to the review this is the second album from exit ten. Opening with the new single technically alive you are left imn no doubt that exit ten are the best band in the world (rivled only by metallica) The music is heavy but offset by Ryans vocals very listanable the album captures the sound of exit ten very well but to really apprecate them you will need to see them live just buy it yo wont be dissapointed

Remember The Day,

This review is from: Remember The Day (Audio CD)
The Steele brothers et al are currently a relatively unknown band, but they're sure to be big, thanks to their clearly talented and quite accessible music. Shimmering guitar-driven metal is (unusually) overlaid with beautiful vocals; Redman's haunting, swooping, but strong, voice is what makes this band different. Without it, they would sound remarkably metal: the riffs are lead-heavy, the drums driving, the bass intricate, and the general song style is a sort of progressive metal. Their sound is rich and well-produced, with effective contrasts of slow, moody melodic sections, and explosive rock riffage. It's an unmistakably modern and beguiling style, summed up in songs such as Resume Ignore, Perish in the Flames, and Remember the Day, which make you want to headbang but sing along at the same time. Their gigs will be an intriguing blend of circle pits and air-punching choruses! They riff like Still Remains or Underoath, but Redman sings like Dallas Green. It's a truly beautiful mix, delivered with such passion and fire, that these dogs will surely have their day- and if they're lucky, it'll be remembered.
