I bought this for my 2 yr old son and 5 yr old daughter as they love drawing. I was disappointed with it though when it came as it didn't do 'what it said on the tin'! It looks impressive and there are pens, stamper pads etc. However, the pens aren't very durable and they stain fingers and clothing. Also, the instructions give the impression that you simply wipe the mat with a damp sponge and you can draw again straight away. However, in practice, you have to drench the mat with soapy water and scrub it(best done in the shower!) and you have to wait a couple of hours or so for the mat to dry out before using it again.
Having said that, the children do enjoy drawing on it as the area is large enough for both of them to have their own area.
As for recommending it ... good fun for kids, but it depends on whether you are prepared to scrub it in the shower and have it drip dry in your bathroom!!!

great idea and my daughter couldn't wait to draw on it - but when it came wiping it off, we found that it left a stain on the mat, especially where the red had been used.
