This book is a good reference for seeing how lots of top furniture and product designers have used recycled materials and objects in innovative, quirky and stylish ways. All the photos show these and it's good for seeing how the professionals do it (gave me some ideas for my own home). There are lots of little tips and ideas on how to re-use everyday objects that would normally get thrown away. There are 5 main sections: Furniture, Storage, Lighting & Accessories, Textiles & soft furnishings and Cleaning, Appliances & Household management plus a directory and some other info. I like it as it is more about good, sustainable design (it's not environmental preachy or homemade crafty). It has about 18 projects but they are only illustrated with no photos and the instructions are a bit minimal for some (you would need to be quite handy with a toolbox too), so if you're looking specifically for lots of projects then there may be better alternatives. It's slickly designed, contemporary and good quality.
