This is a potentialy intesting novel, let down by poor writing.
It reminded me a bit of Neil Gaiman's 'American Gods', the theme being one of individuals coming to terms with being gods. BUT it's as if there was no editor or proof reader involved in this. The grammar is at times OK, but it sudenly lapses and is simplistic in its storytelling. The characters are not well developed and Sevilan's struggle to accept his powers is unrealistic.
A shame - this could have been a great novel.
