4.0 out of 5 stars SIsters-With-Voices-come Funky-Divas!! 6 Nov 2000
Format:Audio CD
SWV have always had a funkier, hip-hoppier sound than a lot of R'n'B girl groups, and this CD proves this.
You only have to look at the guests who appear on this album to see how respected SWV are (or should that be were) in the hip hop world. Missy, Snoop, Puffy, Foxy to name just a few. In fact, there is a different colaberator appearing on practically every song on this disk. This gives the album a fresh sound and means there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The girls (Coco, Lelee and Taj) all have beautiful soulful voices, all very unique, and when they sing those harmonies it sounds wonderful.
This album is definately a must for anyone who enjoys strong voices mixed with some hot rapping.

5.0 out of 5 stars SWV release some tension 9 Jun 2004
By "2tekz" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
from the opening track to the last track, this album is solid right the way through. there are many guest appearances on this album, including missy elliot and lil kim. production wise, timbaland and puff daddy provide the beats and the magic. this album is not only for the dance floor. there is a few smooth ballads on it. number 10 is the best track by far! buy this LP, coz these sisters have voices!
Keep it G

4.0 out of 5 stars "Can we get " Swv back again........this cd shows u why 6 July 2000
By I.B. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This cd from Swv was the third cd to drop from them shortly after the second release "new begining" didn't do that good. This whole album is good and I don't think it was promoted good enough. They had guests that I don't think people even realised were on here like Lil kim, foxy, puffy, snoop dogg, lil cease, missy, and redman. It's only 2 songs I can think of on this that wern't so good. Everything else was on point and should have made them go past just gold. Songs like "rain" and "can we" got a lot of radio play and are some of the best songs on this. Overall if u missed out on swv this is a good cd to listen to that shows u how much they had going even after they broke up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Stuff... 19 July 2000
By S.B. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
RCA had such a hot album on their hands with this record, too bad they neglected to, gee, promote it. While coming out only a year after their sophmore album, this album really managed to nail the then-current music vibe, as It's About Time did in '92. The only really wack songs are "Gettin' Funky" which is really a Snoop Dogg song featuring SWV, and "Love Like This" which is just annoying and features the so-so Lil' Cease. The rest of the album is hot, besides the singles you've undoubtedly already heard, "Come And Get Some," (should have been a single) "When U Cry" and "Lose Myself" are blazing. One of the best albums you've never heard.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Hardest Working Trio In Show Business 14 May 2005
By D-Lord - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I love this album. This album was my favorite back in 5th grade. Every song is good. I don't give a damn what anyone thinks of this album. This album shows them working with the hottest producers (of 1997). This album shows that SWV has sexually released their tension. This album is chock full of the best of today's most slamming grooves, done-SWV style(1997). This album gives what SWV fans want and more. They also continued a steady pattern with this album. This album has been certified Platinum or Gold. Remember, this was 1997.

5.0 out of 5 stars Their will never Be A Female Group As Tight As SWV 2 Jun 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I am so hurt that my favorite girl group broke up! They were and always will be the best. They are the supremes of today and I have loved them since day 1! Though my favorite album is the first, the second and third were great as well. Release some Tension should not have had so many rappers on it. As far as I'm concerned I wish there would have been more tracks and more LeLee and Taj singing lead. I hope and pray they get back together and prove once and for all who is number 1! Tell all these up and coming singers to stop trying to immitate my girl CoKo!
