Book Description

The stunted town of Gresham, Montana, doesn’t prove to be the hiding place Helen had anticipated. The door she thought she had closed on life—both past and present—is wrenched open again…and again. What are the real intentions of the elusive pianist next door, and why does her long-distance employer take a sudden interest in her life?

When friends and enemies collide, Helen’s wounded heart is exposed, and the battles she’d left behind come to the forefront. Encountering old and new faces alike brings her to a crossroad she never would have dreamed of. Does she choose the familiar, safe but lonesome, path, or does she listen to her heart?

4.0 out of 5 stars A Short Romance that will Keep You Guessing 4 Feb. 2014
By Jessica Rhodes - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Release is a lovely short read! One of my favorite things about this book is that it moves along quite nicely. About a quarter of the way through I found myself unable to put it down! But even though the scenes are far from drug out, I have a clear picture of the settings. Even now, I can still imagine all the places Helen (the main character) went; Pet's Market, the Weston's house, the little town's hotel, ect...
Now let's talk about the ROMANCE. This story has a lot of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. Helen has a choice between two men, and let's face it either one of them would be a good choice.
The only place where this cute little story falls short, is in realism. I had a hard time relating to Helen (she seems unaware of the feelings of those around her), and a hard time believing that people would keep on pursuing her even though she shuts them out so often.
But all that said, this is a book I will enjoy reading again and again. Excellent job Tracy Heath, I look forward to the next one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful! 7 Jan. 2014
By MARSHA RENSTROM - Published on

This book is beautifully written and centers around the life of a painfully shy & almost reclusive young woman, Helen, who is a illustrator for a childrens books author that she has never met. She had one neighbor friend, is estranged from her sister, and her life begins to change when the author comes into town and he & her neighbor friend coerce her into attending the new neighbor's piano concert with disaster results. I loved this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good first novel! 14 Dec. 2013
By Judith J. Gormley - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Release has all the elements of a good cozy romance: virtuous but vulnerable heroine, pleasantly improbable coincidences, smitten heroes, & a bit of melodrama, leading up to a satisfying resolution where love & truth win out. Just the thing for a winter evening by the fire! Not every loose end has been tied up, so I am looking forward to future volumes continuing the Gresham saga.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sweet story of a budding romance. 7 Feb. 2014

Right from the start I was drawn into this book and into Helen's quiet life in Gresham. I was able to relax into her predictable routine only to be tossed askew as one thing after another wedged itself into her world. This was well written and now that I've finished this book I'm eagerly anticipating the follow up story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Into My Heart 25 Mar. 2014

Love and life are both many layered and complicated, and so was this book. I can't say I got to know any of the characters, and yet the story drew me on. It seemed the main character was sick, a lot, giving this novel a sort of sad feel, until the very end. I'll look forward to the next writings by Tracy Heath. She has talent and with time I believe she'll be well liked!
