Book Description

“One of the finest works to come along in years…”
“A fast-paced trip into a world you won’t want to leave…”

The critics have yet to discover Relayor, but readers are beginning to chime in.

“Very good ideas, reminiscent of many Sci-fi greats…”
“Explores subtleties only available to an inspired writer…”

23rd Century San Francisco—The Age of Miracles. Man has conquered light and gravity. Proliferation of a new class of explosives has forced the Feds to embrace a fledgling technology called Massing. The physics behind the remarkable phenomena remain elusive because its use is tightly controlled by the developer, Deka Sado, an Asian conglomerate. One thing is clear—Massing makes for the ultimate attack weapon. Its nature invites speculation as to its limitations, for seemingly, there are none. The SWAT cutters who wield it are heavily screened. There has never been a confrontation between two cutters.

Harry Cray, an ex-fighter pilot, has risen rapidly through the ranks of Rone Corporation, one of the world’s biggest companies and a leader in quantum field technologies. The larger-than-life exec is spearheading a leap forward in the evolving face of Planet Earth. Relayor, the most ambitious development project in history, is nearing completion.

The sudden arrival of a lone SWAT cutter is shrouded in mystery. Sam Davila is beautiful and beguiling, and there's more to her appearance than meets the eye.

James Beach has gone rogue. The ruthless NSA assassin and his sister, Angel, share a taste for beautiful women and a bloodlust they can no longer control.

Their worlds are about to collide. The repercussions will shake the foundations of existence.

They are joined by a dozen other memorable characters in this epic fantasy thriller set against the backdrop of California's dazzling Bay Area. Among them will be the prodigious physicist/gamer, the spirited protégé, the unsinkable redhead and the lusty Italian hit man.

You'll meet the German anarchists, the hunter/killer androids, an uninvited castaway, and a hackbox named Stogey. There are the light fields, the gravity domes, the Saturday Night Three-Ways, and of course, there are the cutters—wielding a compelling new weapon that is about to change everything.

Relayor is a content-rich adventure, skillfully embroidered with insight, passion and wit, and chock full of magical moments. It seductively blends the technological innovations and historical events of the preceeding century into an immersive story that you won't soon forget. So strap in and get ready for action, romance and intrigue—and just a touch of whimsy. You're about to take a rollercoaster ride into the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Relayor 22 Sept. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Excellent read. Has an ending. Enjoyable characters. Hard to put down. Twice the size of many novels. Could use a bit more proofreading but doesn't detract from the story. I think there is scope for a good sequel. Will buy that if it appears.

Never judge a book by its cover. The cover says 'interesting', but it's not.

5.0 out of 5 stars SciFi Action Adventure Riproaring but for mature readers 12 Sept. 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is for mature audiences only. Action packed enjoyable read. A real page turner. Set a couple of centuries into the future, technology has come along way. Force fields to protect ultra swat team members who are more likely to kill their targets than have them arrested. Sometime this comes at the expense of any hostages. I liked the character developments. Only negative I would state is that almost all of the characters are black and white; either good or bad, not much in the middle. Still, they story would go to places I did not expect and it keeps the reader guessing as to what's going to happen next. The author has a vivid imagination. He has come up with great ideas about what the future would look like. The only part of the book that dragged for me was the long descriptions about what would pass for a future amusement park. The ending sets the story up to continue down a different path. I'm sure I'll be there reading it when it comes out.
5.0 out of 5 stars What's going on? This is too good to be a debut novel! 23 Nov. 2014

I got it - read it - excellent book - good plot, interesting characters, thoughtful sci/tech extrapolations, action sequences that cut like a razor (sudden, fast, and deep), plot twists. The technological advances are artfully integrated into the world-view of the story (rather than dragged in whenever the author remembers that this is scifi). I'm looking for more from this author.
4.0 out of 5 stars Well written 31 Aug. 2014

Well written, interesting, with unique sci-fi elements. Good characterization, interesting subplots, good suspense. The heroine is unbelievably good. While her capabilities were essential to the plot, it was hard to keep believing that she could be that good without being a superhero with supernatural powers.

A little rocky at first, but very well done. Couldn't put it down during the last 3rd. Well worth the read and anticipating sequels. Very good ideas, reminiscent of many sci-fi greats.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Five Stars 11 May 2014

This is an exciting read. The twists and turns are fun and presented in a way that makes them easy to follow. The author's love of detail not only gave life to the characters, it gave a feeling of authenticity to the world around them. He does an amazing job allowing the reader to empathize with the feelings of love, lust, greed, hopefulness, failure and triumph experienced by the different individuals, and their personalities and motivations blend seamlessly into the story.

The writing style is very descriptive, even "trippy" at times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, even somebody unfamiliar with the genre.

Without giving any specifics of the plot, I have to say that the cutters are pretty cool and the light fields are an awesome concept.
