The two key requirements for any training resource are that (a) the methodology is effective and that (b) it is explained in such a way that the user can implement it effectively, and this book comes up trumps on both counts.

The methods are clearly explained with just the right amount of science, enough to understand the process, but never the less aimed at a practical user rather than a medical audience. All the stretches are also clearly illustrated with good quality photographs ensuring correct implementation.

The only proviso I would make is that the protocols required to achieve results require both mental toughness and pain tolerance, which should not be a problem for those serious about improving performance in their chosen activities, but for those simply seeking increased mobility in everday life I would recommend 'Super Joints' by the same author as an alternative.

there is not much I can say about this book but superb. If you want to do the side splits, front splits and road kill splits this is the book for you. I have another flexibility book with over 250 useless stretches this book only has 36 that work....

This is a straight to the point book on how to do the splits. Its methods certainly work. If you want a clear to the point book on how to do the splits then this is the one to buy, even with the following two points. The reason it gets three stars is two fold. One the book is very short and most of the pages are made of large type and photos as well as lots of adverts for Pavels other publications etc. The second is the price. Okay this is made easier by offers from the marketplace but for the amount of information and content it contains it is overpriced at the list cost. If you are happy to pay for this and the adverts in the book then this is still a good buy, but I would grab it from the Marketplace at a good price.

Something different
A new and refreshing look on stretching. Easy to follow instructions, and is well laid out. Good book for people looking for a different techinque.
