Product Description

Sex is part of a loving relationship. However, really loving someone doesn't always mean the sex will be wonderful - it might be as routine and dull as brushing your teeth, it might be difficult, or it might just hardly ever happen. The good news is that you can turn a disappointing sex life into one that is enjoyable and fulfilling, and a satisfying sex life can be made even better. In The Relate Guide to Sex in a Loving Relationship, Sarah Litvinoff guides you through practical tasks, quizzes and talking points to help you discover the sexual person you are, with unique likes, dislikes and needs. You will: --Build your own unique sexual profile --Draw up your own 'better sex' plan --Separate sexual fact from fiction --Tackle common sexual difficulties --Learn simple sex-enhancing techniques. The inspirational yet down-to-earth methods highlighted in this book will make a satisfying love life possible for any loving and committed couple.

Synopsis

Illustrated throughout, this book provides the reader with both technical and emotional advice on lovemaking. The author argues that there doesn't have to be any sexual difficulty in a relationship for dissatisfaction to occur. Many couples's sex lives work prefectly well on a functional level yet they feel profoundly disappointed. This book argues that what you do in bed is a product of emotional, developmental and physical experiences. It begins by helping to solve the underlying problems in a relationship and then moves on to provide practical advice on sexual techniques. Sarah Litvinoff is the author of "Relate Guide to Better Relationships" and has contributed articles to "New Man and Woman", "Face to Face" and "One to One" magazines.

I bought this book in order to reconnect with my Libido after having a baby. My first impression was that this book might be too demanding and complicated. However, once I actually used it I found the opposite to be true. The exercises within the book were instrumental in facilitating a conversation with my partner, which would not have happened otherwise. It gave us a safe way to talk about issues that we had avoided throughout our relationship, and gave us answers that we would never have come to on our own. I was fearful that our problems were almost insurmountable, but this book led to dramatic results within a few hours.
This book helps to normalize the wide spectrum of reasons for sexual difficulties and provides the tools to look at yourself and your relationship thus generating your own personal profile and solutions.
It can be challenging to look at yourself in this way but it is well worth it.

Not bad. This book was older than others I've read, but I liked it well enough. It was informative in the arena of relating to sex--before and after the actual doing of the act. So, all in all, I would recommend it. It's got some good stuff that anyone can apply to their sex lives. Another one I'd recommend: Sex, Your Woman and You: How to Sexually Please Your Woman in the Bedroom and Beyond.

The font and spacing was to cramp for reader to read. My eyes were squeezed in between my nose and I got headache after that, for someone who doesn't read very much, I lost interest pretty quick.
