This is yet another brilliant title from the Relate collection of books. I am a counsellor with Relate and have recommended this, and their other books, to friends and clients who are experiencing relationship difficulties. You will find the books insightful, supportive and easy to read and understand. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Great idea but in the end very disappointing 23 May 2011

I should have known that buying this book, reading it and hoping what is wrong will go away wouldn't be that easy, and it wasn't. The idea is good, but I found it not explanatory enough to make sense to me. The whole affairs thing is so complex, I believe simple and comprehensible advice you can easily relate to is so much better, in 'Relate - After the affair' we have too many theories. It made me dig out my fav book about self-help, Life's too short for cheap cling film by life coach Maren Peters. One of ten subjects covered, here you find explained in words every person can understand why men have affairs, why women enter these affairs, and why men typically DON'T leave their wives. I've been there and if it's wasn't for this wake-up call I would have gone mental... Thank you, Maren :-).

Reading this book helped me to understand so much, when you are in the thick of all the emotions, it is sometimes so hard to analyse 'what and why'which is what I needed to do. It also covers the subject from the person who is having/had the affair, as well as the 'victim' which was also an interesting view point. Would not hesitate in recommending this book

Written in an easy-to-read format. I was able to 'skip' certain sections I didn't find relevant but the content of the book still flowed.
