This is the updated version to EC2 of the previous BS 8110 version, it uses the same examples as the previous book which enables a like for like comparison of the two codes. This proves a major asset for people who are getting to grips with EC2 after being used to the ways of BS 8110.

I was strongly advised to buy Reinforced Concrete Design by my university lecturer and I'm glad I did. It takes you through the design of RC structures from foundations to slabs. It goes into great detail and if you don't understand the explanation, I've found it's made more clear by working through one of the excellent worked examples.

If you are studying civil or structural engineering, get this book.

This is a great book, with clear examples and explanation that really helps. When comparing this with other books, the addition of worked examples and clear english helped me to understand how formulas were derived and the processes that need to be followed in the design.
I'd definitely recommend this edition for a good technical and learning resource if you're not yet up to scratch with the Eurocodes. Also, the latest edition of this is in Eurocodes as well apparently with the same design examples so you can have a direct comparison of design method. I'll be purchasing that in the future!
