This should have been good but sadly the execution let it down badly. There wasn't enough detail about any of the characters to involve the readers attention. Give it a miss.

How long will it take you to hook up with your soul mate?

Samantha and Jake have been meeting each other throughout their whole lives -- starting from the Stone Age to Ancient Egypt and to Salem, Massachusetts, to Paris right before World War II.

Each time the two lovers connect something tears them apart. Will they finally overcome their obstacles in the present or are they doomed to repeat their mistakes and misfortunes forever?

Travel with Samantha throughout history and gain a new perspective on REINCARNATION. Suzanne Weyn pens a tale full of emotion and being true to yourself no matter the consequences.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful. 22 Jan 2008
By Michelle's Minions - Published on
What an amazing, beautiful, romantic, tragic, thought provoking and unforgettable book this is. I have absolutely fallen in love with it.

It begins in prehistory when a battle scarred Neanderthal man meets a desperate Cro-Magnon woman at the mouh of a cave, high on a cliff. Each is at a pivotal moment in his or her life and about to make a decision that will impact the future more than they are even capable of imagining. This meeting is brief and violent, but it is also the work of fate. They have no idea, but it was their desitny. They begin their journey in a struggle over a green jewel that ends in tragedy. Together they join the Wheel of Rebirth, but they are not even remotely finished with each other.

We follow these two soul mates through time and place in an epic adventure as they try, over and over, to get it right. They meet again in Ancient Egypt, Greece, Paris and the United States, taking with them reminders from each past life they have shared together. But they are not alone in this quest. There are other souls that travel with them who also must resolve their issues and discover the right path to take. The green jewel follows them as well, taking on new and deeper meanings each time.

When you look beyond the magical romance that transcends time, it is also a chronicle of human and civil rights through the ages. If these souls want to be together for all eternity, they will have to overcome incredible odds and fight to change the views of society.

Reincarnation shines more brilliantly than any jewel and will leave you with a tear in your eye and a smile on your face.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love through the ages... 2 July 2008
By D. Williams - Published on
The story of two soulmates who first meet in prehistory (caveman times) and die fighting over a mysterious rock. The two continue to be reincarnated throughout history. In each life, they meet, feel a sudden and unexplainable connection, and then lose each other. It's like they keep getting "do-overs" until they get things right.

Fans of historical fiction will enjoy the brief glimpses into a variety of time periods--prehistory, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, colonial America during the Salem witch trials, France during WWII/Holocaust, Mississippi during the Civil Rights Movement, and modern day New York.

The story kept my interest for the most part, but I was disappointed with the ending. The resolution seemed to come too quickly and easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favorite book 12 Feb 2008
By Mary - Published on
I am blown away by this book. I don't think there's anything out there like it. The premise is intriguing and it works on so many levels. Sure, it's a romance but it's also a moving story about four people and how they evolve in their character through many lifetimes. It also encompasses issues of human dignity and takes you on a fascinating ride through history. It's a page-turner, too.I couldn't put it down. Go get it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but somewhat difficult to follow 16 Feb 2013

Hoping for another My Name Is Memory (by Anne Brashares), I didn't get into Reincarnation as easily. I found it somewhat difficult to follow. But my 15-year old niece loved it. Books, like movies and so many other things, are a question of personal taste... and reviews are just that: personal reviews.

3.0 out of 5 stars A little more history would have helped 14 Aug 2012
By ameena - Published on
Interesting book and the history was great. Although I wish there was more history may be I am biased since I am a history buff.I love the idea of reincarnation and past life also. But there is a question that surfaces in my thoughts should we know about our past? would it be a burden or a release of some unresolved pain? I have raised this question on my blog[...] It is about a forthcoming book on reincarnation based on a true story that has haunted me.
