This is the first book I read on Reiki and it is still one of the best to be found. I always recommend it to my students.
It is clearly written, without too much jargon which the beginner would possibly find off putting, therefore it is ideal for novices and the more advanced.
The section at the back, looks at physical ailments and their likely causes, which I feel enables people to reflect on their emotional tendancies, ie anger, frustration, bitterness and resentment, which can lead to say Gall Bladder imbalances. A comprehensive list of conditions are given with reasons why they may have occurred.
A good all round publication, which will have you returning to it not only as a reference manual but as enjoyable reading in the early days.

This book is a Reiki classic. Topics include general Reiki philosophy & specific techniques. As a Reiki Master, it is the book I most often recommend to my Level One students.

In reply to the reader from Ireland,
To enjoy and understand this book you would have to be initiated, which means as the previous writer said to have attended a Riekie Level 1 class. Without this initiation one can not use it for self healing or practising on others.I have read this book and now want to purchase it for further studies.For further info search the web for "What is Reikie" a good explanation is given there.
