Product Description

Book Description

The lost manuscript of one of London's most notorious gangsters.

Product Description

The name Reggie Kray remains synonymous with London's East End to this day, and yet although much is known about Reg and his brother Ronnie's life of crime in the '50s and '60s, to date precious little has been revealed about their formative years. Reggie wrote his EAST END STORIES in the early 1990s, but they haven't seen the light of day until now. In the book, he recalls the close-knit East End community in which he and his brother grew up, the characters in his family and neighbourhood, and of course, the many villains he worked with. Filled with anecdotes about the area's most outlandish personalities and notorious criminals, and offering a fascinating journey around the Krays' 'manor' including their favourite haunts and business enterprises, the book paints a vivid portrait of a London that has long since disappeared.

Asgood as it gets 12 July 2011
By Needlzz
Format:Paperback
With over 10 yrs passing since Reggie Kray passed away, you have to wonder what else could be written about the twins that you dont know already. The answer to that is nothing. But dont let that put you off.Where this book differs is that Reg expands on the many stories surrounding the Kray legend. For instance the well documented time that Ronnie Kray pulled out a gun and went to shoot Alan Dixon. This incident in all other books is retold pretty much as i have just said , with Ron giving the un fired bullet to Dixon as a keep sake / reminder..But thats not how it happened at all.I wont spoil it by telling you exactly what happened but this incident and many more that Reg writes about , makes this book one of the best ive read about the Twins.
