Product Description

Swaimec Simeon has brought together the powerful exhortational messages that constitute the first part of this book. The book is all the more appealing in that it brings together writings and testimonies of persons from many parts of the world. Simeon's contribution comes, of course, from Africa-Tanzania-as do the first two testimonies-from South Africa-and the last, from Ghana. Other testimonies come from people in England, Scotland, and the New World-the United States and Canada. It all goes to show that the Spirit of the Lord is moving throughout the World, and that wherever we are-even in the desert of Saudi Arabia!-our hearts can be refreshed by the overwhelming and transforming love and power of our God.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hearts Touched and Cleansed by Jesus, 1 Dec 2008

Dr. Charles Muller (The Scottish Highlands, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Refresh Your Heart in Jesus: And Other Christian Testimonies (Paperback)
This work is in effect a sequel to Touched by God: Testimonies of Christian Power, which brought together seven inspirational stories of God's supernatural intervention in the lives of Christian believers--testimonies that presented extra-biblical proof of God's divine power and love in the lives of Christian believers. The work was originally intended to be published under the title Touched by Angels, and I was waiting to receive some additional testimonies before going to press. However, Swaimec Simeon then approached me from Tanzania. Simeon, a committed and enthusiastic Christian, has brought together the powerful exhortational messages that now constitute the first part of this book. It occurred to me that the amalgamation of the two parts--the exhortational and the inspirational--would indeed make a very encouraging and inspiring book, not only for the unbeliever, but for both the young and established Christian who also needs encouragement in the walk of faith. The work is all the more appealing, too, in that it brings together writings and testimonies of persons from many parts of the world. Simeon's contribution comes, of course, from Africa--Tanzania--as do the first two testimonies--from South Africa--and the last, from Ghana. Other testimonies come from people in England, Scotland, and the New World--the United States and Canada. It all goes to show that the Spirit of the Lord is moving throughout the World, and that wherever we are--even in the desert of Saudi Arabia!--our hearts can be refreshed by the overwhelming and transforming love and power of our God. Angelic support and guidance can come from what many might describe as a `supernatural' source, a divine intervention, as in the first testimony retold by the Rev Louis Bosch; but Inez Randolph, from Ghana, shows that it can also come from real and tangible, everyday sources, and that we might just find our guardian angel right beside us. Angelic work, indeed, whether it is helping our fellow humans or animals, can be done by a human agent, as we see in the story of Judi Gunn. My prayer is that the Lord will bless all who hold this book in their hands and unleashes his Miracle Power in their lives.

The opening chapters in this startling witness to the power of salvation through the blood of Jesus of Nazareth is a sobering testimony to the rights that Satan, the Adversary and Advocate for God's enemy, can have on every one of us if we allow a foothold in our hearts for sin. It is disobience to God, and an unwillingness to surrender totally to the power of His blood that washes away our sins, that the Adversary can claim he has a right and a prior claim to us. It is so important that we surrender to God's love and accept Him in our hearts, and accept His claim that we are washed clean and forgiven through the price Jesus paid for us on the cross by taking upon himself the punishment of death, so that we stand before God in confidence that we are saved and that Satan has no power or rights over us. Psalm 139 tells us that God has a prior claim to us and sees right through us. If we are washed by the blood of his Son, He will see no stain, no rights of the Adversary, whose rights are therefore cancelled. In the shorter testimonies that follow believers are able to share, with joy, how all things work together for good for those who love the Lord according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28). His presence and power and love is forever near those who have responded to His call, wherever they might be.
