Product Description

Review

"Reflexology Today by Doreen E. Bayly is a guide to the theory and practice of reflexology- the art of restoring the body to health through special massage techniques applied to the feet. The book provides a list of ailments that respond to reflexology, including glaucoma, polio, migraine, liver disease, cataracts, head injuries, asthma, neuritis, shingles (herpes zoster), arthritis, back injuries and sinus trouble."

Product Description

Stimulating the body's healing forces through massage of the reflex areas of the feet helps to increase blood circulation and relax tension in the nervous system. Reflexology encourages the whole body to renew itself so that all processes are working in harmony. As a diagnostic tool, reflexology reveals, by the tenderness of different parts of the foot, what organs or areas of the body are in a state of disorder. Provides a list of ailments that respond to reflexology, including glaucoma, migraine, liver disease, cataracts, asthma, neuritis, shingles (herpes zoster), arthritis, and sinus trouble. And by stimulating the nervous and vascular systems, reflexology can do much to retard the ageing process.

Reflexology Today. 30 Nov 2009
By Janice G. Robertson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This was the first textbook on Reflexology ever written. It was written in 1978 by Doreen Bayly, an English woman and past student and colleague of Eunice Ingham. I took her Reflexology course in London in 1978. It is descriptive, informative and an excellent book for all aspiring Reflexologists. Not only does she teach about disorders and how to treat them on the feet, she also describes the function and interaction of the organs, positioning of the hands (with photographs), and the importance of the cross reflexes. Her chart of the feet is the basis of all later charts - of which there are now hundreds. I have used this book myself for the past 30 years and have given it to all my students for the past 25 years. There is no better.
