About the Author

Julie Hay is internationally accredited as a transactional analyst and supervisor and a licensed NLP trainer, and has been coaching, mentoring, training and supervising fellow professionals since 1986. She has over 40 years managerial and consultancy experience in the public and private sectors, where she has advised several organisations on the establishment of in-house coach/mentoring schemes -- in places as varied as India, Australia and Eastern Europe as well as the UK. Julie was one of the founding directors of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council, and inaugural chair/president of the pan-Europe Steering Group. She has been a regular presenter at international conferences and is the author of numerous articles, audiotape sets and books, including Transformational Mentoring McGraw-Hill 1995, Sherwood 1999 and Transactional Analysis for Coaches & Mentors Sherwood 2006. She is noted for her ability to take complex theories and explain them in ways that are clear, practical and stimulating.
