Product Description

Review

"Clear to read, good use of case studies, is a practical text and not too much jargon. This is a text which can be used throughout the three years and I can go back to it again and again. A good introductory text." Lecturer - University of Winchester

Product Description

Reflective Practice is a key element of learning and development on social work courses. This fully-updated new edition explores a range of approaches to reflective practice and includes sections on gender, reflecting on emotion and using reflection as a catalyst for change, as well as asking the fundamental question what is reflective practice? Written in three parts, this essential guide starts with a broad exploration of reflection, drawing on some key texts that have informed its development. It then moves on to real practice issues including the management of social work practice and interprofessional working.

A must have book for Social Work degree Practice Learning Opportunities. I found this book invaluable when mastering the reflective assignment. Easy to read and understand. This was a very difficult book to get hold of through the uni library as everyone was looking for it.

For anyone studying to be a social worker, or already practising as a social worker, the Learning Matters range are easy to follow - giving you a taster of the theory etc., then recommending further reading. Great to start with on a subject you are unsure about.
