HASH(0x8faabbc4) out of 5 stars Great motivational supplement to the book... 28 Sept. 2005
By Karen Beth Martin - Published on
Format: Audio CD
I love these CDs. I have been listening to them and I KNOW that I will listen to them many times in the years to come. I am working through The Artist's Way program and hearing Julia talk to her students and explain some of the material is invaluable. It is also amazingnly motivational. Hearing her makes you realize that you can move past your creative blocks and make a creative life for yourself. I highly recommend these. They are the gift that keeps on giving.

HASH(0x8fa99714) out of 5 stars Conversations with Julia 22 Sept. 2009
By Theoni Lussos - Published on
Format: Audio CD
Quite honestly I have found the CD's to be much better at explaining her "method" than her books and I have read them all except for the very latest (2008-2009). I really enjoyed the conversations with Julia where she explained her method and the importance of long hand, no computer, three pages each and every morning. She feels that the computer allows you to type and get alot of junk out that is about as worthy as the ether it goes into while writing long hand unto paper, forces you to slow down and somewhat organize what is most important and see the all important pauses that force you to face your fears and go forward. I don't think her writing in her books captures that as well as her verbal explanation. I would recommend following this CD with the On Writing by Ayn Rand, also on CD and really get into your creative space and kickstart your writing/creating habit. Cheers

HASH(0x8f95dc6c) out of 5 stars Revealing the "Artist's Way" 8 July 2000
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Audio Cassette
This tape will leave you feeling juiced and inspired to blast through your creative blocks by revealing secrets and insights for reclaiming artistic vitality.
During this taped lecture and interview, Julia Cameron responds with wit and wisdom to frequently asked questions about her book the "Artist's Way." Her humor, depth and clarity are a direct translation of the power of creative recovery.
The author's unwavering advice and simplistic tools jumpstart a journey toward connecting with that unique expressive power lying dormant within all of us.
HASH(0x8f95d6e4) out of 5 stars Great ideas and affirmation for artists, writers and general creative aspirants 23 Oct. 2014
By rlrmb - Published on
Format: Audio CD
I purchased these used CDs to accompany my working through Julia Cameron's book. It goes along with the theme of the book, but the stories are different and I love that I can pop one in to listen as I drive. I highly recommend Julia's approach for anyone wanting to give yourself the freedom to be more creative. She is incredibly affirming of our innate desire to create, express and grow, and her approach is spiritual and kind. I am a writer, and I started a support group with two other artists in my area. We've been meeting for two months to discuss our reading, and have all experienced synchronicity and inspiration, not to mention that we just feel better knowing we are on satisfying paths in our work.
HASH(0x8fc26b94) out of 5 stars Not just a rehash of the original 2 Jan. 2015
By Ash Ryan - Published on
Format: Audio CD
I half expected this audio program, consisting of a live lecture and Q&A session, just to rehash material from the original Artist's Way. I was pleasantly surprised to find instead that, while on the one hand Julia Cameron does a good job condensing that material to its essential points, on the other, in response to questions from her readers/audience she expands on the original to flesh out new points and insights. She comes across as an engaging and effective speaker who knows her material thoroughly. If you enjoyed The Artist's Way, these Reflections are worth a listen as well.
