Product Description

Product Description

This is the humour book of 2009! Think you know your Vanilla Ice from your Leonardo da Vinci? Think you can tell the X-Factor from the "X-Men"? Think again...At last, one of Great Britain's most remarkable and idiosyncratic minds presents a personally illustrated guide to all you really need to know about everything. Vic Reeves - the only man ever to have met King Kong - sees things differently from you and me. This book takes us on an irresistible visual romp through his world - from exploding jellyfish to revolving toupees. Dive in at random, and you will find that everything you thought you knew turns out to have been just that little bit wrong. Vic Reeves' "Vast Book of World Knowledge" is an education - with pictures! - a revelation, a celebration, a pontification, and an entirely magnificent aberration...Prepare to go where no-one has been before - prepare to enter the world of Vic Reeves.

Hilarious! 5 Nov 2009
Format:Hardcover
The one star reviewer seems to have missed the point of this book. It is a laugh out loud book of surreal comedy NOT a serious book of facts. Loving his thoughts on the cycloptic life aspiration and the underwater shenanigans of fish.

I received two copies of the Vic Reeves book for men in my family for Christmas. I have only had a quick look but I really think they will love it. Many thanks.

Has me in stitches 13 Dec 2009
Format:Hardcover
Virtually every page in this book makes me laugh out loud, particularly the 'love letter' entry. This is Vic Reeves at his absurd best, with fantastic one-off characters and illustrations remeniscent of those seen in the Big Night Out and Shooting Stars. The art style suits his writing perfectly and there's plenty of both.

This will go without saying for most, but don't (as one reviewer seems to have) go expecting anything near as factual as the title of the book suggests...it's purely surreal brilliance all the way.

sad attempt by a once funny guy
another one star review, sorry - not worth the money, strained mostly unfunny and somehow sad especially when you bought it mainly because of what you have seen him do elsewhere.

This was a gift for someone else, so can't really review, although the person in question was very pleased to receive it.

What a waste of money

Iranu!
This book is hilarious. The drawings are very good - a cross between irony and very well executed illustration. Not everyone will get it, but those who do will love it. Read more
