10 year old son really enjoyed it, 8 year old found it too tough but enjoyed helping me.(Says 8+ on kit)
It is quite tricky, but I think that is the nature of what the scraping is all about, I think the kit is actually very good.
For the right child, someone who likes art and animals and a challenge and who isnt too young, it is good fun and rewarding.
It is worth spending 3 minutes showing them how to do it at the start

I bought this set for my daughter. She's very good at this sort of thing and normally does not have any problems. However, with this set, the black covering was so hard that it was almost impossible to scrape off. Normal pressure would just remove the printed design, not the black coating underneath. I ended up throwing it away as it wasn't usable. (I've never bought this brand before, so don't know if this is a typical problem)
