The image on the website and box shows an easel with 5 pairs of grooves. The easel itself has only 3 sets, and in the lowest position the board collapses to flat when any weight is applied. I wanted to be able to use the easel at an angle of less than 45 degrees, and this won't be possible with this easel. I've asked to return it.

2 days later: I contacted the seller and we came to an agreement re. returns. I am pleased to say that the website image has now been changed to reflect the actual product. I am happy with this solution, but would caution that if you want to use the easel at a very acute angle, be aware that using the third notch from the hinge may result in the easel's board collapsing!

Having taught Art for 30 years and now focussing on doing my own work I am extremely happy with this product. Its well constructed, sturdy and ideal for small scale artwork. Athough A3 size, ie. Two sheets of A4 paper, it could easily support a larger board or canvass. Individual sheets of paper can also be attached to the support board with masking tape or clips, so in all quite a versatile product.

Solidly made, two work angles, the most upright of which suits me best, and it folds flat when out of use. Works very well if you use a second, thinner board with your work on that because you can rotate it if need be. Size is about right if you're drawing or painting anything not of unusual size but I'm using it with my current work on an A2 board and it's still very stable. Sticky-ish rubber feet so it doesn't slide around if you lean on it. For the money, if you work on a table or a desk, mad not to have one.

Very impressed - good build quality and is perfect for angled sketching on a flat desk. Only slight thing is would have liked another notch for an inbetween angle but thats just me probably.

Bought this as a present for my dad - he has started drawing in retirement. It is not too heavy and the perfect size to rest on a table or his knee. He was really pleased with it.

Excellent drawing board, very well made. It has two reclining positions, the third one is for when it is folded flat. Rubber feet stop it sliding around. I bought it for my wife and she loves it. When folded up, it is very portable making it easy to take to her art class. Top marks for this item, very fast delivery from Amazon was a bonus.

Love the fact it's fully assembled out of the box - there's no DIY-ing involved.

Just prop it up on your table. It has two inclines, thought I wish it would stand at 90 deg. too.

An excellent tool for space starved studio-cum-rooms. Only quibble is with the ledge. It really needs to have a lip to hold drawing boards. Oh, and one more quibble, you're stuck with landscape mode. Unless, you stick a drawing board on it.

On that note, I thought I'd save some space and money with an A3 size since I've a thick A2 drawing board hanging about. Great thinking, since it sits nicely - a snug fit - for larger works.
