This bike is great. Comes is many pieces, and requires quite a lot of detailed assembly. However, once assembled it is sturdy, stable and smooth running. The saddle is comfortable, and the height of the seat is adjustable. There are several exercise programmes and you can check your fitness level at any time. It is as good as any at a professional gym and thanks to the pulse monitor you can make sure you work out at your optimum level of exertion. Expensive, but worth every penny when you consider how expensive a gym membership is.

Great exercise bike 19 May 2012
Couldn't find many reviews for this bike, but after much research decided to go for it. (Whilst I didn't purchse from Amazon, I did purchase direct from the same seller.) Needed an exercise bike for my son at the recommendation of his physio to work his tight leg muscles. Needed a sturdy bike (large lad), but one that would fit in our small living room without taking over the room. A bike that will last the distance, but not cost the complete earth. So far, so good. It was boxed well, and reasonably straight forward for me, a single mum, to put together on my own. Didn't time how long it took as had to do it in small time slots, but I don't think it took over long. A couple of bits didn't seem to fit together as I wanted, but they are just cosmetic so I'm not fussed. The seat is adjustable in height, so all 3 of us can use it, and also can be tipped forward/back and up/down so there's bound to be a position that is comfortable. The seat itself seems like it should be comfortable, but my bum was numb after half an hour, but maybe that's just the joy of cycling! I will most likely buy a gel seat cover. The ride is smooth and quiet and it's enjoyable to ride whilst watching tv. The programs are good. The computer is mains powered (so bear in mind with regard to where you are placing the bike), so you do lose all info once it's turned off, but at least it's not eating batteries. There are different programs to use (ie 20 min fitness test, endurance, distance and time settings) and several levels of resistance. There are wheels in the front feet of the bike so you can move it around, but that really doesn't seem to work on thick pile carpet! Probably ok on laminate/wood type flooring. I don't expect to move it, but if I did have to, it would be heavy but not beyond manageable. I bought a mat to go under the bike as it will leave indentations on a carpet. It's not the cheapest bike, but it's also not the most expensive. It is quite compact and pleasing to the eye to look at. I think it is a great middle priced bike, which will hopefully last us a long while.
