Super cross trainer,

I was after a decent cross trainer and have to say that I am delighted with this. Good quality, nice and quiet (once we realised that there was 2 screws we have forgot to tighten). The programmes are great to stop you getting bored and work you hard. Would definately recommend this. Make sure you have someone strong to help you put this together though as its very heavy!

C5.1e Cross Trainer,

This review is from: Reebok C5.1e Elliptical Cross Trainer (Sports)
It arrived in a pretty impressive box, the parts where well packed and everything was apparently present according to the manual's part list.
Assembling was pretty straight forward, with only a couple of gripes. 1. the +drive screw driver is a bit ruff (but at least you get one it the kit). 2. The manual makes reference to the wrong screws for the pivot joints - but its pretty obvious which screws go where. Other that its fine. After 15 minutes of Tinkering your left with a rather smart looking piece of kit. The build quality is pretty good, and it feels very solid, though there are few creeks from the joints. Into the old shorts and T-shirt so it could put me through it paces, The computer is pretty easy to set up a new user, allows you measure your heart rate and calculates the calorie burn. You can vary the resistance on the fly wheel through 16 setting, 1 is pretty light going where as 16 feels like a slog up Snowdon. After a 20 minute work out on the machine (you can also set the work out by calorie burn or distance), it seems to hold up pretty well (unfortunately I feel a little worse for wear)... ...so far so good.

Great Cross Trainer,

Takes a while to setup though is pretty straightforward despite a couple of errors in the manual, and is in one of the biggest boxes imaginable, but once it's done it's a great trainer - straightforward to use and quiet. It has enough programs to keep you going for a while and has had a lot of use so far. It's not quite the same quality as one you'd find in a gym but at this price it's an excellent piece of kit.
I did find initially it was a bit creaky in places, but a simple tightening of the screws fixed that. My tip would be to ensure you tighten the base parts right at the beginning, as lifting it up to tighten at the end is not mean task. All in all, would highly recommend.
