When some rednecks use a radioactive drum as a still for hooch they and everyone who drinks it turn into meat tearing zombies.
Average but fun is the best description of this movie.Some of the gore is great fun, just bang the animal entrails and blood around the place and hope for the best.These guys are obviously horror fans and it shows.
Some of the humour is okay but most of it is awfull! As is the incredibly dodgy acting and editing and the usual stereotypical characters (The guy whos permantely drunk and the black crazy who pretends to be a zombie are my favs).Watch the end cabin scene, its great fun!.

With a title like "Redneck Zombies" You get images of fat rednecks drinking dodgy alcoholic beverages brandishing shotguns while being chased around by the living dead... Well guess what! Thats exactly what this outrageous funny as hell "zombie" movie offers. If you like your serious zombie movies then this probably won't float your boat. But if your up for a laugh and like zombies that dissolve when doused in aerosol and some interesting drug effects... Buy this and knock yourself out! A top film that you won't regret buying!

Even for a Troma Film, this one is bad. Shot on video, it makes no pretence at being serious in any way; the acting is dreadful and the special effects just...aren't that special. Most of the budget seems to have gone into fake blood, mock intestines and various snot-like substances to be oozed or spewed by zombies. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but unlike other Troma films this one just doesn't get there. There are a few humorous moments, such as the autopsy carried out by a veterinary student under the influence of acid, but in general the jokes fall flat.
