I was a little wary of reading an Angel book but once picked it up I couldn't put it down. Being a fan of Buffy I knew I would be okay with the subject matter but I've hardly seen any of Angel on television. That didn't matter. This excellent book gripped me from start to finish and tells the story of actress Whitney Tyler - who plays a vampire radio shock jock on television. A mysterious group of warriors have taken it upon themselves to kill Whitney, but why? As Angel puts it, "She's an innocent. I've seen it in her eyes".
The story regularly tracks back to Ireland in 1758, back when Angel had just turned into a vampire. This doesn't detract from its fluency, however, and I highly recommend this title to anyone who has an open mind when it comes to science fiction.
