Laugh out loud 13 Oct 2010
Format:Paperback
This is one of the funniest books I have read, with rare episodes of laughing aloud. It describes Cambridge and 60's Australia accurately and is very funny

Excellent humorous book on human nature and Western society 27 Jun 1997
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
There are several wars going on... Women versus men, liberals versus conservatives, left wing versus right wing, academics versus real world, British versus colonials, rich versus poor etc. What are the odds that all of these wars victimize the same person, the hero (?) of this excellent book ! I cannot find any other way to comment on "Redback" except that I consider it one of the best examples of British humor and that I am certainly going to read every book written by Howard Jacobson
