This was the 4th studio album from T'Pau, who by now consisted basically of just lead singer, Carol Decker. The whole of the original band, including former writing partner Ron Rogers, have been lost to history.
But that said, this album has all the great sounds of the ones that have gone before it and remains a solid example of good honest rock music.
Carol's voice, as ever, is in fine condition as she belts out great tune after great tune. There are even some nods to other musical styles with the folky "Do the right dance" and the thrash metal sound of "Let it all fall". Special mention of the finest song on the album, the bitter-sweet "Giving up the ghost"
I've always liked the attitude of T'Pau insomuch as there is no pretence to their music, what you hear is what you get, and when good, well played, and excellent sung music sounds like this, what's wrong with that?
Nice One!

This is by far the best album from T'pau (yet!), this album has everything from rock to soft ballads. Carols power in both vocals and writing skills are superb. I can't beleive RED didn't make the charts, I'm sure if more people had heard this, it could have made No 1. I'm lucky to have seen her perform RED live and it was a truely stunning evening of performance! My partner and I argued so much about who's turn it was to have the album I bought a second copy (one for the car, one for me!!). If you're thinking of buying a T'pau LP either for yourself or as a gift, you can't go wrong with RED. ... Carol...more of the same please!

First time I heard it, wasn't sure if it was as good as previous albums, but after the 2nd or 3rd playing I'm convinced Carol's voice and talent for songwriting is as good as it ever was. Great stuff, I hope we hear more from them.
