Large text and uncluttered pictures make this an accessible book for whole class teaching. There is also the bonus of Teachers notes written on the back cover for the Key Stage 1 range, clearly outlined within the National Literacy Strategy categories.

Little Red Riding Hood's speech is printed in red.

Elements of puncutation included are: apostrophe, speech marks, and exclamation marks.

The book ends with a letter of apology from the wolf!

(REAL NAME)   
This is a useful alternative story of Red Riding Hood, which supports the new Literacy Primary Strategy.
It has clear text that includes the use of speech marks, exclamation marks and words in italics.
However, it is not written as a tradtional story with the Once Upon a Tine as a beginning and there is no wood-cutter!! I used after I had told the tradtional version.
