As a huge chilis fan this book was a must have and it didn't/doesn't disappoint. The tab is accurate and seems to capture John's style well. (though it often neglects to mention the "thumb over" technique which is used by him often, but the notes are the same) Only downsides are that bass tab parts for guitar aren't included at all as they usually are at least a little in other peppers books, but this would just be for extra credit anyhow ;)Also some chord work seems a little incorrect, Californication for example uses a simple D Minor chord which is replaced in this book with something a little more complex, but again this is fairly insignificant and still accurate enough to sound correct.
My favourite thing about this book is the range in difficulty throughout the songs. As you may know this was John's first album with the peppers since he became "clean" of drugs and is often seen as a fairly "simple" album in comparison to other albums he contributed in. Songs such as Californication, Otherside and many others confirm this statement making this is a great book for new-comers to John's style but for more experienced guitarists don't fret (ha ha get it? horrible, I know) as there is some tougher stuff included also (Road Trippin' Right On Time and various parts throughout other songs) but if your a fan of the music the difficulty level really shouldn't matter, plus it still isn't that difficult.
This is a great book for any tab collection and I would suggest best suited for general/intermediate guitarists and of course peppers fans!
