got it this morning. As i listened it swept over me like a good dream. Wow what a gem. do not hesitate to buy this CD. it is so tuneful and such good well selected words, harmonies are spot on. Voices are clear, compliment each other and keep you listening to the very end. Very skillful guitar work. Each song is different. You would think that Eliza G. could be running out of steam after her musical contributions over the years, but this has invigorated her. This is quality, so fresh and is definitely in the top ten of my 500 CD collection.

I love Eliza Gilkyson and John Gorka, and Lucy Kaplansky is a highly capable co-worker on this impressive album. Very good songs; I am a child, Wild Horse and Blue Chalk, but the outstanding ones are Sanctuary, Coshieville and especially Forget to breathe, composed by John and sung by Eliza. It makes you shiver with joy and sadness at the same time. Wayfaring stranger is a fitting closure to the album. One of the absolutely best so far this year! Also John's 2010 solo album; "So dark you see", is well worth your time and money. If Amazon had 10 stars to give I'd gladly lavish them all on this truly wonderful album!

It's difficult, for me, explain these concepts in a language different from mine. The listening is emotion, memory of ancient stories, roots of the past, a special mood. Very good recording, mixing and editing. Voices, instruments and scene are well present in the sound stage.
