Red Hat 7 is undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited Linux distribution since the release of Red Hat 6.2, showing significant improvements in the installation, with a fully featured X Windows interface and a very decriptive help bar for beginners. While this release represents an excellent summary of all that Linux has had to offer so far, it is the next anticipated release that will bring some of the most eagerly awaited features to X Windows desktops everywhere. This release still contains many improvements from the last with improvements in drivers for graphics cards, much easier for ASDL and ISDN modem users to set up and go. For those with their hearts set on stable releases of the Linux 2.4 kernel and the KDE 2.0 desktop should probably sit tight. While preview releases of both are provided with Red Hat 7, neither can be considered completely roadworthy at this point. However, if you're new to Linux, or you're looking for the most comprehensive, up-to-date distribution currently available, Red Hat 7 won't disappoint.
