4.0 out of 5 stars Great Reading From Chris Barrie 2 Sep 2010
Since the discription for this 2CD set is so vague, let me lay it all out for you - this is an abridged recording of the book Red Dwarf:Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers which differs from previous recordings in that it has a backing track of sound effects and a little music.

The story is an expanded and / or alternative verison of the Red Dwarf story. Taking it's main plot points from the series it expands on how Lister came to be onboard the mining ship and gives us some interesting alternative verisons of how the adventures take place making the well loved exploits of the Dwarfers feel alot more epic in scale.

Chris Barrie's reading is a soothing, easy on the ears experience and his impressions of the whole cast are spot on!!!

If you are looking for some fresh Red Dwarf (okay, it's actually quite an old book now but, meh) then this is just what you need!!!
