Bought this book a couple of years ago, having gawped wonderstruck at the Red Arrows from a few beaches in my time, and checked out the comments out of interest. I really can't imagine why 'A Customer' has such a downer on it (and its author, it seems). The photography is some of the most spectacular I've ever seen, in superb detail, often very close to the action. There's a fair amount of text, all of which is relevant and interesting.
To criticise a book about aerial acrobatics for having too many air-to-air shots (I'd guess 60%) is frankly bizarre, and I don't see why, if the Red Arrows deem Mr Bennett fit to fly with them, and pose in their garb in front of their aircraft, we should question his right to do so.
The book is big-ish, but not typical coffee-table-massive, and such books might have larger pics, with more impact, but cost £30 or £40, and half the time don't fit on the shelf. I've enjoyed leafing through this one many a time, so job done.

Although it increases my collection of Red Arrows memorabilia, this book is frankly a huge let down. Poor design, bad printing and far too much air to air photography that simply fails to match material that was taken over 10 years ago by a far better photographer. I would be very interested to know how Mr Bennett obtained permission to don the treasured Red overalls that are uniquely reserved for the team.
