Product Description

Product Description

"Recycling Jimmy is energetic, imaginative, relentlessly and unabashedly vulgar, and at times, funny enough to make a cranky reviewer laugh out loud. This belongs on every eccentric fiction fan's short list of oddball black comedies..." Booklist

A bungled, hilarious suicide attempt gives birth to the darkest of business plans; to choreograph spectacular suicides and film them for sale on DVD. This compelling story is told with brilliant black humour and a unique zest for life!!

Right from page one this book pulls you into the gritty underbelly of Manchester, inhabited by Jimmy and his pals.
It is a credit to the author that despite the wonderfully bizarre and inventive scenarios being painted, you never feel that the situation becomes completely implausible, and the dialogue is sharp, very comical and well observed.
This is a book that could have easily have been a depressing tale of those who wish to shuffle off with more than a whimper. Instead, it is a very amusing black comedy where the the characterisations jump off the page, and capture the readers imagination. 10/10

Looking forward to reading the sequel "Last Laugh Limited".

I need another!!! 7 Mar 2009
Format:Hardcover
I stumbled accross this book whilst staying at a lodge in the lakes, and for someone who never reads, i could not put it down.

What a fantastic idea, and only Andy Tilley will really know how he came up with somthing so original and funny.

My wife ended up having to buy this for me just so i could finish it, and it has now left me wanting more please!!

To sum this book up, i would say that from start to finish i had a permanant smile on my face, and in fact, i now want to read it again just in case there was anything i missed first time around.

Thanks Andy, please can i have another one soon!!

Ian Stevenson.

ok book, not great
Found this book not too bad although maybe trying too hard to be blokey and cool. Got quite exciting a few times but unfortunately didn't continue for long and fizzled out.

A really good read
This book was very entertaining. At first it took me a while to get into it, as I knew the rough outline of the plot and wasn't sure how it could make for a good read. Read more

Great read and with real twist at the end. Who would have thought suicide could be so much fun. Sequel please!

A thoroughly modern, uniquely brilliant dark comedy
A lot goes through your mind when you're precariously dangling upside down from a bridge - blood mostly, but also plenty of vivid insights. Read more
