A lot of compass for your money. Feels well made from good materials, no flimsy bits to break.
Very easy to use and adjust.

All you need 1 Mar 2009
Normally use a base plate only silva hwever thought I'd take advantage of the price and purchase a sighting compass.
Perhaps the most uselfull thing is the ability to dial in the magnetic variation on a perminant basis.
Excellent product for the price, a lot less than a GPS!

Needle Stuck 17 Oct 2011
I bought this item on 13th May 2010, and at first used it with success. Since then it has spent some months in a dry wooden cupboard in my office and now the magnetic needle will not move at all, rendering the item totally useless.
