I found the book incredibly useful to build my base in social media. The book has concepts which can be applied to various social media channels, new or old. The book is good as a starting point to thinking of social media as a strategy.

Coherent literature on a fast evolving trend 14 July 2011
By Harry - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This book has brought to the fore a unique amalgamation of social media and corporate HR strategy. It was only after reading this book I started seeing the signs of such tactics being implemented by companies around the world.
As this is a nascent area, any academic work would get obsolete in a matter of few weeks if not months, but I believe that this book attempts to start an interesting debate in the corporate HR circles about the image they want to portray to potential employees.
This book also enlightens its reader with new levels of engagement a company can initiate. It clearly delineates a process of creating a social media imprint and building a strong and updated reputation in the recruitment market.

A must read for any HR/Strategist who wants to move beyond the traditional means and ways of recruiting and has understood the basic fact that social media is here to stay and wants to leverage it....

Being an IT recruiter myself, I found this book to be worth its weight in gold.It acted as a platform that allowed me to sharpen my modern day recruitment tools. It a must read for the recruiter who wants to sway away from traditional recruitment practices and capture that top 10% of talent.
