Ok I am an adult.
But this book of how to play the recorder is really good. As an adult (and old!) learning an instrument can be hard but I have learnt to play the recorder fairly well in just a month.

This is a really sweet book for young children to learn recorder. Starts at the very beginning (how to blow to get any note) and takes you step by step through to little tunes. Attractive illustrations, and simply set out. My 7 year old loves it.

As adults relearning to play the recorder we have found this a really excellent start, good clear music and instructions, well thought out gradual process of learning new notes and musical instructions, and the music is fun, relatively easy and builds confidence and enjoyment. We got straight into it. Getting both books combined also saves money.

Very practical
Bought this book because it was recommended by a music teacher. My daughter who is 5 can follow most things on her own and enjoys using it.

Helpful
Not as good as I hoped. But at least I know some of the tunes. I am now up to 9 notes and my friends recognise what I am playing!
