Reconsidering Tulip is an excellent discourse commenting on the philosophical, biblical, and historical response to the five points of Calvinism. In the preface you find the author's brief story of how he journeyed from a Calvinistic perspective to one based in the bible, Early Church Fathers, and the Orthodox Church. As mentioned the preface is excellent for understanding the authors' own paradigm shift from Calvinism to Orthodoxy and heart's desire to share the love of God. Each chapter addresses one of the five points of Calvinism with excellent explanation, scripture, and early church writings
I hope to revise this review as a previous reviewer inaccurately equates Alexander Renault (real name) the author of this book with the pen name of another person with unbiblical viewpoints. I personally know the author of this book who is an Orthodox Christian - The other viewer has the wrong biographical information on Mr. Renault who self-published this work. And by reading the preface and this work they should have known that the pen named person was someone different so hopefully he can revise his review as he gives 5 stars and the first paragraph is excellent the second is about a completely different person than who authored this book.
I highly recommend this book to any Orthodox or evangelical believer and to anyone who wants a better understand why TULIP and Calvinism is not accurate. And putting aside the five points and just reading the outstanding reasoning, scriptural backing, and early church writing is worth the read.
