Product Description

Product Description

If you haven't quite got what you think you should have, or you haven't quite become who you really wanted to be, there's never been a better time to completely reinvent the way you are and the way you live your life.

Based on real business, career and life issues, this book looks at every angle of reinvention and provides practical tools to reconfigure yourself as you wish. Maybe you just want ideas on how to market yourself in a new way. Maybe you’d like to be more in control of your life and less intimidated by people who stress you out. Whatever your agenda, you will discover strategies which will cause you to re-assess perhaps even fundamental beliefs held close since childhood, and you'll learn how to be part of your own enduring evolution rather than being a bystander to your own life.

  • Most people are dissatisfied with something in their lives - either just a bit here and there, or all of it...
  • The idea of reinventing yourself is very appealing and very powerful for most people
  • Uses examples from popular culture, such as madonna, to show how it can be done
An intelligent, stimulating and engaging look at how to become what you aren't

When my girlfriend recommended I read Reinvent Yourself I was a little sceptical. By the end of the introduction I was utterly engrossed.

To say a book changed my life is a massive statement. However that is exactly what Reinvent Yourself is about. It shows you that change has to be on your terms and how to go about it in a logical and meaningful manner. It demonstrates that one does not have to take a massive leap but a small step. Gabay's style is unique in the whay he involves the reader without patronising and advises whilst remaning open. Well written, well researched. A simply brilliant book.

Insincere, superficial 6 April 2004

Format:Paperback
It must be said, there is nothing incorrect about the advice he provides. The book itself is certainly worthy of the coffee table. I get the impression that the author has not experienced anything in life that might remotely induce him to want to reinvent himself. So nothing rings true. There is no passion behind the words. The anecdotes and 'real-life stories' used feel like they have been fiddled with in order to illustrate a principle - and they do it badly, anything he mentions from personal experience is more to do with how amazing he is rather than the principle behind it, and the way he relates them leaves me so conscious of the superficiality of his thoughts. I even get the impression that this book's raison d'etre is more to do with the author having a place to give his own achievements a pedestal. Anyone seriously seeking reinvention will not find enough substance here to work with. It doesn't do any more than scratch the surface - the meat is missing. I would even go so far as to say that the Author thought that anyone requiring reinvention would be so desperate for guidance that he could get away with it. Read it if you have no real intention of getting down and doing the hard work required to reinvent yourself and your life.

I am from India. I write to express my gratitude to the author, coz if he would not have helped me, perhaps I would have never come out of the chasm of negetivity that had wrapped me completely,

Before reading Reinvent Yourself I was not able to understand how to break my cobweb of negetivity. Reading Reinvent Yourself helped me uncover the answers of everything that was wrong with me, I soon realised that all I ineeded was a direction and notion about  having belief in myself. I am almost out of my negetive thinking and as the book says, reinvention is a continuous process.

The book continues to encourage me. Whenever I am down, its wordsgive me the strengh to move on . I urge anyone with any self doubt to READ THIS BOOK!
