Product Description

From the director of Rise of the Footsoldier comes his eagerly awaited new release Reckoning Day; the explosive, action-thriller set in the dangerous world of international drugs crime. When Ed, a member of the US special forces, witnesses the massacre of his elite unit of men, he sets out on a bloody mission of revenge. In doing so he takes on an international drugs ring led by the ruthless Charles Toll, and races to bring him down before the release of a deadly new drug. In a brutal game of cat and mouse, Ed hunts Toll down across the United States and into the UK. With time running he resorts to ever more desperate measures to ensure justice is done as the chase pounds towards its heart-stopping climax.

I'm not going to write much because this film really doesn't deserve it! I know it was low budget so there is a certain level you have to judge by, but seriously this is the worst film I have seen in a long long time. I only lasted 17 minutes before I had the overwhelming urge to throw my DVD player out of the window!

The acting is terrible, the script is the most shocking load of bile i've ever heard and the characters look like they were pulled from the reject auditions of a TJ Hooker episode and... well, I can't comment anymore because these 3 things were enough to make me want to pull my own eyeballs out!

The only plus side is that I rented and not bought. Like 1 of the other reviewers, I got this film because it said 'From the Makers of Rise of the Footsoldier' on the box... which is a blatant attempt to sell more copies as it lulls you into thinking it will be of the same quality as this great British film... sadly, it really isn't! Avoid this like the plague is all I have left to say!

what's the point? 15 Nov 2009
Violent films are never easy to watch but that clearly doesn't always mean they're unwatchable; generally I try to avoid obvious slasher movies or gore fests but this affair is completely mad! The body count is pointlessly stupefying, the acting is vacuous and puerile and the story is utterly without logic or coherence.

I have never seen such a ludicrously senseless and badly put together piece of work. Who funds this stuff? Somebody had to be convinced to front the money.

Please somebody, tell me what this film's about!

I'm guessing they made it as bad as possible with the deliberate hope of securing an inadvertent low budget cult hit - well they haven't!

Ah well, at least it's got a chainsaw fight - is that a first?

Rise Of The Gilbeys! 19 Sep 2009
This is Julian Gilbeys first film that he Directed before Rollin With The Nines and Rise Of The Footsoldier. Its done on a low budget but is really great fun and if you like Action films that are heavy on blood and violence then this one is highly recommended! Buy It!
